Jennie Morton

Bio

After a long performing career as a Ballet dancer, West End Musical Theatre performer, and lead singer of a London Big Band, Jennie is now a Clinical Osteopath specializing in the field of Performing Arts Medicine.  She is a specialist in treating musicians’ injuries, anxiety management, and performance optimization.  Now based in Los Angeles, she is on the Clinical Advisory Board for Backline (musicians’ mental health organization), the Health & Wellness Committee for the International Society for Music Education (ISME), the Board of the Dance Resource  Center (DRC), and is the Wellness Professor at the Colburn Music School (LA).

Jennie is the author of three books:  The Authentic Performer:  Wearing a Mask and the Effect on Health; The Embodied Dancer:  A Guide to Optimal Performance; and Dancing Longer, Dancing Stronger, as well as numberous academic articles on performers’ health.  She also provides online courses in anxiety management and other health management topics.
