Studio Horowitz in Falls Church seeks a piano teacher to join our studio for the 2022-23 school year and beyond.
We feature highly supported independent teaching in a beautiful piano-only studio. We offer the most supportive and collaborative teaching environment of any similar studio. Workshop (Performance) classes and recitals for your students. Huge studio library. Home-like environment. Acoustic grand pianos in every teaching studio and near-unlimited access to our studio for practice and rehearsing.
Level and dependable pay per-student-per-month (not by the day or hour). 10-month school year with optional work in the summer. Highest year-over-year pay of any similar studio. For teachers with good student retention who choose to stay with us, pay will rise to $70/hr++. Starting pay in the first year averages to at least $42/hr. Additional pay/incentives are possible for established teachers bringing students with them.
The successful applicant will be available at least two days per week including at least one weekend day.
Prior teaching experience is required. Degree in music required. Focus on piano performance or piano pedagogy required. Graduating students and current grad students are warmly welcome to apply. Jazz experience and/or early childhood are nice but not required. Experience with traditional piano pedagogy is essential.
